Film Overview The Western Association of Venture Capitalists (WAVC) has produced a documentary film on the founders of Silicon Valley Venture capital. The film tells the story of how venture capital was born in the late 1950’s when a small group of individuals set out to provide not just financing but guidance to help seedling companies reach their full potential. In production for over two years, the film features legendary investors like Tom Perkins (Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers), Don Valentine (Sequoia Capital) and Arthur Rock, as well as pioneering entrepreneurs like Gordon Moore, Nolan Bushnell, Herbert Boyer and Mike Markkula.
Executive Producers Paul Holland is General Partner of Foundation Capital, a leading venture capital firm with funds under management exceeding $2.4 billion. Molly Davis is a founding partner of Rainmaker Communications, a Silicon Valley marketing consulting firm.
Emmy-Winning Creative Team Spearheading the film are Emmy Award-winning filmmakers Dan Geller and Dayna Goldfine.
